In the business of network marketing it’s highly likely you will meet up with our friend failure. It might sting you like putting vinegar in your wound because you came into this industry with high hopes of generating 5-6 figures but were left with mass disappointment. They said it was easy, that all you had to do was get two people started then they would get two people started and soon enough you’d be a millionaire.
As reality sets in you find out that through the blood, sweat, and tears that there is a lot more to it then convincing your uncle Bob to join your business. In your mind you can hear people telling you that this is a pyramid scam, or to get a real job. Plus you desperately want to show consistency to yourself by trying to find some logical answer that you made the right choice joining MLM and don’t want to get laughed at by having friends and family telling you they told you so.
At this point many have seen enough failure and this is where the decisions you make become crucial. You basically come to a fork in the road that lead down two totally different paths. One path is to go back to normal life, make someone else rich and have to live by someone else’s rules telling you when you should wake up and when your aloud to use the bathroom. Here you accept failure as defeat and make yourself believe that this industry doesn’t work.
Or do you choose the other path. The path that is less travelled and where Hero’s are born. This path where your one crucial decision shapes your true destiny. The path where failure is seen as an friend to show you how something should not be done or as a way to toughen you up to prove to success that you deserve her. Success like Thomas Edison who didn’t see his 10,000 attempts to make the light bulb as failure but as 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb, but persistence prevails and he learned to profit from failure.
Don’t worry my friend as you are also 3 feet from gold so keep digging. I promise you even your great mentors Mike Dillard, Daegan Smith, and Jonathan Budd have all seen the likes of failure but used him as a friend to finally meet lady success. Failure is there only as a filter because not all were meant for success. Those who keep striving, keep learning and keep making a difference will make it through. While the weak who are doing this for a hobby or those truly to lazy to find or even make a path to success will see failure as defeat and never see the fruits that success has in store for them.
Never give up and learn to profit from failure.
