If you want to reach a customer who loves baseball, you can have your ads show up on peoples facebooks that have anything in their profile or wall written about baseball. Plus you can narrow it down by age, sex, and demographics.
The possibilities are endless and right now the price for advertising is dirt cheap just like when the Google Adwords boom hit. The people who did get rich were the people who pounced on the opportunity first.
But for home business owners you really have to be careful when using facebook advertising because they also have the strict rules that Google has but luckily there are ways around it. The best way around getting FB slapped is to use the double lead method.
This involves making a fan page for you or your flagship product and send traffic their first. Here you want your lead to press the like button than send them to your capture page. This way you get a FB lead and a opt in lead for you to monetize.
Having a bridge page is great to have because Facebook will not penalize you and it will keep your paypal account looking good not paying expensive advertising bills. But you still want to use a funded proposal so you can advertise endlessly for free.
