Do you feel stuck? Like no matter how hard you try, life keeps holding you back?

You’re working, hustling, grinding, and yet it feels like you’re standing still. The bills keep piling up, the stress doesn’t fade, and you find yourself wondering, Why isn’t it getting better?

I know exactly how you feel because I’ve been there—living paycheck to paycheck, struggling in the hood on Avenue T South in Saskatoon, scraping by on minimum wage. I desperately wanted a life of freedom, where money came from all directions and abundance flowed effortlessly.

But back then, that dream felt impossible.

Then something happened. I discovered a concept so simple, yet so life-changing, that it shifted everything for me: Abundance is about perception, not possession.

Have You Ever Felt This Way?

  • Have you ever felt like life is working against you?
  • Do you wonder why abundance seems so easy for others but out of reach for you?
  • Do you feel like you’re just one step away from a breakthrough but can’t find the path?
  • Does the idea of abundance feel like a distant dream instead of a reality?

What if the way you see your life could change it completely?

The Quote That Changed My Life

There’s a powerful quote by Dr. Wayne Dyer: “If you change the way you look at something, that thing you’re looking at changes.”

When I started to apply this, everything in my life began to shift. I stopped focusing on what I didn’t have and trained myself to see the abundance already present in my life.

I started an abundance journal to document every little blessing, no matter how small.

Seeing Abundance in the Smallest Things

At first, it felt strange. How could writing down a free coffee or a friend’s visit make any difference? But the truth is, it did.

In my journal, I started small:

  • A friend visiting me for two hours—two hours of their time was a gift.
  • Finding a penny or a quarter on the ground—money coming to me from unexpected places.
  • Someone buying me coffee—a thoughtful gesture I didn’t have to ask for.

Even everyday experiences transformed in my eyes. Walking into a fast-food restaurant, I’d think about the millions of dollars invested in the building, the employees working to serve me, and the farms growing the ingredients. All of that effort condensed into a meal for a few dollars—how could I not feel abundant?

The Law of Attraction at Work

By writing these moments down and feeling gratitude for them, I trained my brain to see abundance everywhere.

As I focused on abundance, more of it flowed into my life. Soon, I was getting free trips to Japan, Paris, and all over North America. My flights, hotels, and food were all paid for—and I was being paid on top of that to perform as a dancer.

It didn’t stop there:

  • My first $500 day.
  • My first $1,000 day.
  • My first $5,000 day.
  • My first $10,000 day.
  • Eventually, my first $80,000 day.

And it all started with noticing the small things—a free coffee, a friend’s visit, or a penny on the ground.

The Three Secrets to Attracting Abundance

If you’re ready to shift your perception and attract abundance in your life, here’s how you can start:

1. Start an Abundance Journal

Write down every instance of abundance you notice in your life. It could be as simple as someone holding the door for you, finding change on the ground, or enjoying a sunny day.

This trains your brain to start looking for abundance and builds gratitude, shifting your perception toward positivity and opportunity.

2. Shift Your Perspective

Instead of focusing on lack, focus on the effort and resources that make your life easier.

  • That fast food meal? Think about the farmers, cooks, and millions of dollars invested in making it possible.
  • The highway you drive on? Consider the construction workers, engineers, and heavy equipment that went into creating it so you can travel effortlessly.

When you start seeing the world this way, abundance becomes undeniable.

3. Align Your Energy with Gratitude

Gratitude shifts your energy. When you feel abundant, you attract more abundance.

This isn’t just about money—it’s about opportunities, relationships, and experiences. The more you focus on what you have, the more you’ll notice how much is already flowing into your life.

Your Journey to Abundance Starts Now

Look, I went from struggling to pay my bills to living a life of freedom and abundance. My success didn’t come from winning the lottery or getting lucky.

It came from changing the way I saw the world.

If this story resonates with you, start your own abundance journal today. Begin noticing the little things and write them down. Over time, you’ll see how much your life can change in just a year—or even a couple of months.
